REQUIREMENT 1

Read through pages 7-11 in the merit badge book and use the information below to complete requirement 1 on the worksheet.

Answer the following:

Explain what citizenship in the world means to you and what you think it takes to be a good world citizen.

These are subjective issues, asking what citizenship means to you, and what you think it takes to be a good world citizen. There is not, therefore, a standard "right" answer to these questions. What matters is that you THINK seriously about these issues and are able to enunciate well developed answers that are meaningful to you.

In thinking about these issues, here are some links you read through. You may or may not agree with some/all of the ideas expressed in these articles, but, taken together, they raise the types of issues you should be thinking about in writing your answer for this requirement.
