Energy Auditing   EST 4840/5840
Environmental Science & Technology

Students perform assessments of buildings on campus as part of the course.  Offering an overview of energy management,  mechanical systems and electrical systems, and  operational activities, along with guest speakers from energy related industry, the course prepares the students to perform an assessment and to report the results of the assessment in a professional report.

By performing these activities on campus buildings, the students learn the basics of energy audits, but also assist the Center in building a database of information on the buildings.  The director, co-director, and coordinator of the Center have been actively involved with the students taking the course.
