COURSE DESCRIPTION: The main topics covered in this course are plane and solid geometry including measurement formulas, properties of plane figures, proof techniques, symmetry, congruency, and construction.
PLACEMENT: This course is open only to those lacking the required
high school geometry course for unconditional
admission to the university. Please see the Academic Support Center advisors,
898-2339, if there are any questions concerning placement.
ATTENDANCE: Regular class attendance is mandatory for students to
perform at their highest potential. If a class is missed, the
student is responsible for all assignments made and material
covered.

TEXTBOOK: Elementary Geometry for College Students,
Alexander and Koeberlein
SYLLABUS: All students enrolled in MATH 0990 will receive a syllabus
from the instructor describing specific requirements for the class.
TOPICS COVERED:
FINAL EXAM: The final exam is administered according to the
university's final exam
schedule.
EVALUATION: In MATH 0990: Basic
Geometry, 70 percent proficiency must be demonstrated. Therefore, the
following grades can be earned:
