The Academic Enrichment Math Lab, located in SAG 202, offers free tutoring to
students enrolled in a Academic Enrichment mathematics course.
Before asking the tutor any questions, try to solve the problem yourself. This
way, you have an understanding of what you are having difficulty with and the
tutor will be able to better assist you.
Students should try to focus on the concepts, not
just on how to work the problem. The more specific the student is about the
mathematical difficulty, the more the tutor will be able to help. Do not expect
miracles! If a student says to the tutor, "I have a test in an hour and do not
understand anything about Chapter 3!" - there is not much the tutor can do
to help at that point.
However, past experiences have shown that students who have taken advantage of
available tutoring early on are most likely to be rewarded with good grades.
Please seek help early!
