We welcome nationally known expert in learning-space design, Andrew J. Milne, Ph.D, as our workshop presenter.  Dr. Milne has been an innovator for nearly two decades, alternately as teacher, researcher, technologist, and consultant. He is currently CEO of Tidebreak, Inc. (www.tidebreak.com)  which provides interactive workspace technologies for academic institutions and corporate enterprises.  He holds B.S. (Honors) and M.S. degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. from the Center for Design Research at Stanford, where his work focused on collaboration technologies to support distributed engineering design teams. Dr. Milne is also a visiting scholar at Stanford University's Center for Design Research and is Board member at Penn State's Leonard Center for Enhancing Engineering Education.

The workshop will engage participants in information and interactive activities to help envision how both faculty and students view space in relation to learning and how educators can leverage space and technologies to enhance student-centered teaching.

The workshop will be held in the Faculty Senate Chambers, 9-3pm; continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Reservations are required, and early reservations for this unique workshop are suggested.
