Co-Directors

The co-directors plan the activities,  coordinate the resources,  and cultivate the partnerships instrumental in fulfilling the mission of the Center.   Their leadership also directs the activities of the Advisory BoaLT & ITC Directorsrd, the Faculty and SoTL Fellows, and the Mentoring Program, all faculty groups formed to ensure that opportunities for professional growth  and support are available for all MTSU faculty.

 

Co-Director Barbara Draude  also serves as Director of Academic & Instructional Technology Services in the Information Technology Division.  She is an assistant professor in the School of Nursing as well.

  Co-Director Faye Johnson also holds the title of Assistant to the Executive Vice President & Provost in the Academic Affairs Division. She is  an associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.

nformation Research Technician
The IRT manages the daily activities of the Center, overseeing the production of the newsletter (SourceLink) and website, publicizing events, and maintaining the Learning-L listserv. The IRT is involved in all administrative tasks and assists the co-directors in their efforts to establish the Center as a faculty hub.


Tana McDonald earned her M.A. in English from New York University and B.A. from Northeastern Illinois University. Her background in college publishing and community college teaching brings desirable experience to the Center.

Graduate Assistants

Two graduate assistants devote 20 hours weekly to the Center, assisting in events, coordinating resources, and other tasks.  Their technological proficiency enables them to support faculty events, such as creating presentation materials and setting up equipment. 

Victoria (Torie) Counts is completing her M.A. in clinical psychology, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of autistic children.

Brandy Burke is concluding her studies for an M.A. in industrial/organizational psychology.  Her focus is organizational development and employee training.
