Teaching Tips > Listserv

What is a listserv?
(Definition summarized from information provided by Webopedia.com.) It is a mailing list program used for communication between a group of subscribers. Listservs are used by subscribers who share a topic of interest. E-mail messages are used as the mode of communication and only the people subscribing to the listserv can receive and respond to the e-mail messages.

Listservs, blogs, and wikis can be incorporated into the classroom. For more information on the integration of these community building tools, refer to the resources below or call the Center at 615-494-7671.
