COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course presents the technical, economic, and political aspects of
technology and manufacturing issues as they relate to the environmental
protection. Specific monitoring and abatement techniques and equipment are
of interest. An overview of energy production processes alone with
economic and environmental concerns will be analyzed. Guess speakers,
field trips, students projects and research papers will be used to highlight
specific topics of special interest to students.
COURSE MATERIAL:
TEXTBOOKS REQUIRED : None
EVALUATION AND
GRADING :
Final examination will be given at the regularly scheduled time and used to
determine course grade. Research papers and other projects will be graded as indicated.
POLICY
ON MAKEUP WORK:
In general, no makeup exam or assignment will be given, unless the instructor is
notified in advance of an absence. In
case of emergencies, the instructor will decide whether to allow the student to
make up the missed activity.

is required. For
