EST 4770/5770 Course Content: This course presents the technical, economic, and political aspects of
energy and its development and use as it relates to the environment and
environmental protection. Specific
monitoring, and abatement techniques and equipment are of interest.
An overview of energy production processes along with economic and
environmental concerns will be analyzed. Field
trips and research projects and/or papers will be used to highlight specific
topics of special interest to students. Required Text: Environmental Proctection by Emil T. Chanlett Course
Materials and Equipment:
Any research projects will be built with materials supplied by the
students. Attendance Policy: Class roll will be taken and attendance is expected for all class
meetings. Graduate students please consult with the instructor for additional
