On-line instructor; duties include teaching, research and public service. Responsible for teaching introductory and upper level Geoscience courses-- includes planning course guidelines, schedule of work and timelines, reviewing student projects, assignments and making performance evaluations. Organized and directed study abroad field trips and taken 75 U.S. students during summers to South Africa, Swaziland, India, Nepal and Australia (1997-2001). Research director of the U.S.-South Africa sustainability project -- directing an interdisciplinary team of researchers in the U.S. and South Africa-- principal investigator of the project and senior grant writer of the winning proposal-- have organized and coordinated meetings with stakeholders in South Africa bi-annually since 1999; organized U.S. faculty visits to South Africa; promoted capacity building of South African personnel from disadvantaged populations by organizing training of South African personnel in U.S. water modeling in Florida in November 2000; co-authored over 60 conference presentation abstracts nationally and internationally on the ongoing South African research from 1999-2002; designed and structured with other faculty a full web-based course for U.S. and South African students on "Public Health Concerns for South African informal communities.”

1991-1994: PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS, LTD, SENIOR ANALYST
Conducted personal and focus group interviews with about 100 key members of the California water community representing 57 organizations during the six year California drought in the late eighties and early nineties. Interviews were conducted with representatives from federal, state, regional, and local water supply agencies, as well as environmental, private, and governmental entities. Documented lessons learned from the CA drought as part of a national study of water management during drought for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Managed a team of water and environmental consultants to implement the Installation Water Resources Analysis and Planning System (IWRAPS) computerized water planning tool in fixed Army and Air Force installations within the Continental United States. Designed and implemented water use survey to over 100 Air Force installations in the U.S. Collected water production and metered data from military installations were utilized to design the IWRAPS-AF software. Taught Army and Air Force installation managers computerized IWRAPS software application. Taught civilian water planning personnel the Institute for Water Resources-Municipal and Industrial Needs (IWR-MAIN) computer application;
