Richard G. Moffett, III, Ph.D.
Dr. Moffett is an Associate Professor of Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and serves as the Program Coordinator for the Graduate I/O Psychology Program. While at MTSU, he has taught many graduate and undergraduate courses in areas such as organizational change and development, training and development, organizational psychology, and group dynamics. He received his Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from Auburn University, Auburn, AL. Dr. Moffett has over 20 years experience as a consultant to private and public sector organizations. Before coming to MTSU in 1992, Dr. Moffett worked as a Project Associate with the Office of Vice President for Outreach at Auburn University in which he served as an internal and external human resources consultant. He also previously served as a Research Psychologist with Litton Computer Services in which he developed and evaluated various training programs for the United States Army at Fort Benning, Georgia. His areas of consulting expertise include organizational diagnosis and development, survey design and development, training development and evaluation, job analysis, performance measurement of individuals and teams, work group training and development, and leadership/management training and development. His clients have included Tennessee Department of Transportation, Jacobs Sverdrup, Centerstone Community Mental Health Centers, Service Merchandise, Teledyne, and Middle Tennessee State University.
