The College
of Education and
Behavioral Science is committed to serving graduate students and to giving
students an indepth understanding of society and
themselves by offering a wide range of learning opportunities, technology
is interfaced into the various programs.
Educational Leadership Department courses can be
used to fulfill requirements for the Master of Education (M.Ed.) and
Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degrees. The
M.Ed. offers majors in Administration and Supervision and Curriculum
and Instruction with concentrations and specializations in English as a
Second Language, Higher Education, Library Science, and K-12. The Education
Specialist program is a degree level above the master's.
The Ed.S. in
education is available with majors in Administration and Supervision
and Curriculum and Instruction. Graduate programs are accredited by
the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE),
the Tennessee Department of Education, and the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools.
