Greetings from the Dean

On behalf of the faculty and staff in the College of Education and Behavioral Science, I am delighted to welcome you to Middle Tennessee State University.  As you look forward to a college career, I can assure you that your experiences at MTSU will be exciting and filled with many new opportunities.

Since its beginning as Middle Tennessee State Normal School in 1911, the programs within the College of Education and Behavioral Science have been central to the mission of our institution.  Our faculty and staff are dedicated to the tradition of providing quality programs in a supportive and academic programs within the college are designed to prepare students for professional careers in teacher education and school personnel services; criminal justice administration; health, physical education, recreation, and safety; psychology; and the human sciences.
