Welcome to the home page for MC 611, a graduate course in quantitative research methods taught by Ken Blake, Ph.D., at Middle Tennessee State University. The course emphasizes concepts and skills related to quantitative communication research including survey and experimental methods, sampling, questionnaire construction, data gathering, and statistical methods. Students should emerge from the course able to design and implement scientifically valid experiments, surveys and content analyses and to evaluate the results of such studies using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Three credits. Prerequisite: MC 610 or permission. |
