Master of Science – HPER Major |
|
The masters degree in HPER concentration offers both
thesis and non-thesis options. Students enter the Department
from a variety of backgrounds. In addition to a comprehensive
curriculum, they enjoy an array of social and professional
activities including participation in state and national
organizations which provide excellent opportunities for professional
development and interaction. Candidates are prepared for
career opportunities in community and public health, school health,
or teaching Lifetime Wellness. The non-thesis option requires
completion of 32 semester hours including a 3 credit internship.
The thesis option includes 30 hours of coursework.

Doctor of Philosophy in Human Performance |
|
The Ph.D. in
Human Performance is offered for the purpose of developing doctoral
level expertise combining pedagogy with scholarly achievement and
research excellence (applied or theoretical). There are four areas
of specialization offered in the Ph.D. in Human Performance:
Exercise Science, Health, Leisure Studies or Physical Education.
