PROGRAMS
Students
have the option of following a thesis/project or comprehensive exam track
to complete requirements for the M.S. degree. The thesis/project is designed
for the student seeking to concentrate in a particular area and to experience
in-depth independent research. The exam option is designed for the working
person who is integrating graduate education and professional life.

MC 6230 Media in the Marketplace
MC 6250 Media Organizations
At least two of the following:
MC 6300 Media Law & Ethics
MC 6320 Mass Media & Public Opinion
MC 6350 Cultural Studies in Popular Music
MC 6380 News, Culture & Democracy
MC 6400 Communication Technology
6 hours approved electives (taken
inside or outside the College of Mass Communication)
Submit and defend an acceptable thesis or project
