Unit Leader's Notice:

You must print the application packet to have all the necessary documentation for your unit's trip to MBU.

  • We no longer send out forms via the US Mail as a cost-saving measure.

In addition to driving directions and a campus map, it contains:

  1. Letter to Unit Leader

  2. List of Offered Merit Badge Classes & prerequisites to be completed and brought to MBU.

  3. MBU Application Form

    NOTICE!

    You are encouraged to type a list of scout names with their top three class choices and

    EMAIL 

    them to John High and wait for an email confirmation

     before

    sending in the hardcopy and fees. This helps your scouts' chances of obtain their requested classes.

    • Once you have the email class confirmation, you then fill out the application hardcopy form and send it via U.S. Mail.

     

  • Your check and hardcopy of the application must arrive within 14 days of the confirmation email.

  • Please send a SINGLE check made payable to MTSU/MBU.

  • Unit Forms without payment will be removed from the database.

  • NO Cash Payments Accepted on MBU Day & NO Walk-ons Allowed by University Policy.

  • Refund Policy:

    • No refunds unless entire unit cancels two weeks prior to MBU.

      • Incase of inclement weather, MBU may be cancelled and notification made via this web site and emails to registered units. Due to limited availability of facilitates, we do not have a "snow day" scheduled.

        • If you feel it unsafe to travel, we will refund your fees even if MBU is not cancelled.

Please Note: Do not FAX any MBU form.

  1. Release Form 

  • The release/waiver form is required for ALL Scouts attending MBU.  

  • Do NOT send them with your applications.

    • Must be signed by Scout AND parent.

  • Bring these forms to the registration table on the day of MBU.

  • No properly singed form ... no participation in classes.

    • It's the LAW!
