Welcome - Director Message
|
 |
As the director of the
MTSU School of Nursing, I have had the pleasure to meet
alumni, community leaders, and our talented nursing
students. Students choose MTSU because of the reputation
of our program, success of our graduates and the superb
reputation of our nursing faculty. |
The School of
Nursing offers:
-
a traditional 4-year
baccalaureate nursing program for students;
- an RN to
BSN program for licensed RNs with a diploma or associate’s
degree in nursing;
-
an LPN to BSN program for
licensed LPNs;
- a Master
of Science in Professional Science (MS-PS) degree program
with a concentration in Health Care Informatics (HCI); and
- a MSN
degree through a consortium program with four tracks;
Nursing Education, Nursing Informatics, Nursing
Administration and Family Practice Nursing.
With the tremendous nursing
shortage and nursing faculty shortages, our faculty are
dedicated to maintain and build successful evidenced-based
nursing programs, teach in state-of-the-art laboratories that
will help meet the healthcare needs of our society. Plans are
underway to consider adding another graduate program based upon
the needs of our health care partners upon the recommendation of
our community-based advisory board.
If nursing is a future or current
career interest of yours, please tour our web site, visit our
campus, and make an appointment to meet with our admissions
advisors. We welcome your interest and enthusiasm!
