Amy Dodson,
Teacher
My name is Amy Dodson. I am a graduate of
the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. I graduated in 1999
with a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood special
education. I went on to graduate school and finished my
master’s degree in early childhood special education in May
2001. After graduation, my husband (who is also a teacher)
moved to Saint Simons Island, GA where we taught for two
years. While in Georgia I taught at a preschool special
needs program. NOVA Southeastern University set up my
classroom as the model Autism Classroom for our county as
well as surrounding counties. I am currently pursuing my
doctorate degree from NOVA in child and family studies and
specializing in autism. I have been a teacher in the Blue
Room at Project HELP for the past two years. It has been an
incredible experience this far and I look forward to many
wonderful memories to come. |
