Debbie Bauder
Teacher
My name is Debbie Bauder, and for the
last 6 years I have served as the Director of Project
HELP. When I first came
to Project HELP as a teacher in the Blue Room, I
immediately fell in love with the program. My
love and commitment to the children and families of
Project HELP has not changed over the years. I
have, however, missed working directly with the
children, and returned to the classroom at the end of
August. Seeing children break through the
“limits” placed on them by their particular
diagnosis has always driven me; children are capable
of so much more than we think, don’t you agree?
My degrees are a Bachelor’s in Special Education,
with a specialty in Deaf Education, and a Master’s
in Speech and Language Pathology. Prior to
losing my heart to preschoolers, I worked as a speech
pathologist both in private practice, and in
Metro-Davidson
County
Schools
,
Williamson
County
Schools
,
Tullahoma
City
Schools
, and in
Pennsylvania
. This is my 29th year of teaching, and I am as
passionate about it today as I was 29 years ago.
We CAN change the future, child by child.
