I first
developed this webpage when I was participating in a study abroad program
where students from other universities would take my course. That’s why there are so many options on
the left side that focus on study abroad – it was a way to let them know
who I am as well as to provide useful information for students who would
take a class in another country.
Study abroad is not
my only focus, however. I am the
Outreach Coordinator for the Middle East
Center at MTSU and I teach a
variety of courses in the Speech and Theatre Department including: Intercultural
Communication, Persuasion,
Gender, Interpersonal
Communication and Communication
in the Middle East.
Communication
Studies is a great major because it is designed to prepare you for the
future. We focus on teaching you
what you need to know in order to be successful in a wide variety of
careers: how to analyze problems,
evaluate information, defuse conflict, present your ideas clearly and
effectively, work well in a group and communicate effectively with a
diverse group of people.
