Thought he's a thoroughbred, Louis the PBGV looks like a mutt,  runs like the wind, and howls like the Hound of the Baskervilles. Here he is in January 1999 [go to top]

This is Spunk, a tiny two-year-old Fell (or Patterdale) Terrier. She weighs about 10 pounds, but thinks she's the size of Spenser the big Airedale. Spunk came to us courtesy of Spenser's breeder, Henry Johnson, of Viola, TN.

Louis sometimes gives the term "dirty dog" new meaning. Despite his pedigree, he loves to roll in sewage or the remains of dead animals. Here he is in June 2000. [go to top]

We also had an adorable fluffy little cat called Shelby, after the park we live near. But my wife, who hates cat hair, made me give him away to “a better home.” [go to top]
