Arithmetic Mean

1.  Enter  Temperature (F) in the title cell under C1.  

2.  Enter Water Consumption (ounces) in the title cell under C2.

3.  Enter the data in the appropriate columns as shown below:

4.  Click Calc then click column statistics. 
     The following box should appear: 

5.  Click mean. 

6.  Click in the Input variable box.  
      The two titles should appear in the box on the left (as seen above). 

7.  Click Temperature in the box on the left.

8.  Click the Select button.

9.  Click OK.  The answer should appear in the session window.

10.  Repeat this process to find the average for the water consumption data.
