            r, rho, is the population correlation coefficient for the paired variables.

You can interpret the results in two ways: 

r = .963 => This is a high correlation value, therefore, implying a strong positive linear correlation between the amount of water consumed and the temperature (F) outside.

p-value = .001 =>This p-value is lower than the significant level of 5%, therefore, implying a linear correlation between the amount of water consumed and the temperature (F) outside.
