Studentized Residuals are the standardized residuals with the ith case removed from the the equation. Studentized Residuals are used to show evidence of any outliers in the outputs. This helps to show the domain for which the model is best suited. This also shows if there are any Hi leverage points in the domain. Hi(leverages) is shown as Hii in some books since H is a hat matrix with i*i (rows*columns)
There are many small calculations in this procedure that makes this a long procedure to do by hand, and it is not easily done using Excel. Since Excel does not have a preprogrammed function for Studentized Residuals, we have included instructions on how to use Minitab to find the Studentized Residuals.
