The smoothed curve of the relationship between mowing time and water consumption by using the method of running medians is shown in figure 4. We can conclude along the same line as in the previous section that a person has a tendency to consume more water when the number of hours used for mowing increases.

If the spacing between the different values along the predictor's axis is not equal, we need to adopt one of the two methods to help us deal with that.  We can use either Band Regression or the Loess Method.
