The Website for College Students
Attending the 2006Convention
Each year, the National Association of Recording Merchandisers convention opens its doors to students enrolled in college music business programs. Students and educators are encouraged to join the organization at a special rate, and attend the conference. The 2005 conference will be held in Orlando August 2 - 5.
You can access the NARM website at http://www.narm.com
About the NARM convention:
| The NARM convention is held annually to bring record label marketing and
sales people together with retail stores, rack jobbers, one-stops and
distributors. They have panels on current industry topics and lots of
music showcases. For the third year in a row, NARM is joining forces with
AFIM, the Association for Independent Music. The NARM convention is open to students to attend and participate in the trade show. All of the music business programs in the country share a booth at the trade show where students get to hand out resumes and look for job and internship opportunities. The convention will be held in Orlando this year at the Gaylord Palm Resort. |
