Before you sign up for this class, read the following information and then fill out the POD form at the bottom. Remember, the POD application does not automatically enroll you in this course. You must meet the qualifications and we have LIMITED SEATING. You will still need to register for the course like you do all others.
RIM 4820 - Record
Label Operations
This
hands-on course involves actually working
for a Nashville-based record label—such Provident, Compass, EMI-Christian,
Compendia, Mercury or others--marketing recently released records.
You will be expected to put in 8 hours/week (usually two 4-hour shifts).
You must be able to travel to Nashville or Franklin 2 times per week to work in
the label’s office with their marketing staff.
We will be working Internet, radio, retail, press, and tour support.
The class will have a
weekly one-hour marketing meeting on campus-- Thursdays
at 2:40 in Room 174.
