Our Mission Statement
ü We want to provide a relaxed, yet professional atmosphere in which writers across the curriculum can become more comfortable with the writing process
ü We want to cultivate the importance of writing as a process.
ü We want to help UWC users become independent writers, capable of recognizing and capitalizing on their strengths as well as identifying and correcting their weaknesses.
ü We want to help our WAs become better teachers by exposing them to writers at all levels and a variety of syllabi and paper assignments. We also want to encourage them to cultivate relationships with faculty and students. As a result, we believe they will enter their own classrooms for the first time with a genuine desire to help writers improve with the necessary tools to do so.
ü We want to provide support for instructors.
ü We want to share our love of language and learning with those around us.
