AAUW MURFREESBORO BRANCH
AAUW is a company of college-educated individuals from all walks of life who share a vision in advancing education for
women and girls, by being part of a network that makes a
difference both locally and nationally . Be part of a powerful voice on
women's issues. At our monthly meetings, September through May, we
invite you to make lifelong friends, have fun, and enjoy good eats!

We are the local branch of a
national organization dedicated to advancing educational equity for
women and girls, sponsoring research by and about women and girls, and
acting as advocates for women in the legal and political spheres.
We welcome members from all professions and businesses
who care about education for women and girls. The only requirement for
membership is a college degree, including an associate's degree.
We meet the second Thursday
of each month,
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. At meetings we share a meal, listen to a speaker
address issues important to women, and hold a business meeting.
Our activities include
raising funds for local and national scholarships. We also cooperate
with other community organizations to create opportunities for girls
including "Expanding Your Horizons," the science and mathematics fair
for middle school girls.

In principle
and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There
shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the
basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin
or disability.
