Introduction

Today we will start a Webquest adventure.  You will go to different websites and practice your grammar skills.  By the end of the WebQuest, you will be ready to create your own story using correct grammar as well as alliteration, rhyme, synonyms, and antonyms.  After writing your story, you will get to share it !

Process

Compound Words

Butterfly is a compound word.  Click on the butterfly to practice making compound words!


Alliteration

Amy ate all afternoon. 

Do you see what all the words in this sentence have in common?

Click on the apple and worm to learn about alliteration.  Play the game inspired by Thomas Jefferson.  You can print the worksheet and then work in groups of three to play this game.


Synonyms and Antonyms

Synonyms are two words that mean the same thing.

Pretty=Beautiful

Antonyms are words that have opposite meanings.

Rhyming Patterns

We all know what it means to make a rhyme. 

I'm in a house.

Punctuation

Using correct punctuation is important when you want to show the difference between statement, question, and exclamation sentences.
