About Us:

Bella-Mūsīqā entertains audiences using a variety of Mediterranean musical styles ranging from North African, Middle Eastern and Turkish to Spanish Andalusian, flamenco, and original compositions. Bella-Mūsīqā was co-founded in summer 2006 by two MTSU faculty: ethnomusicologist David Pruett, who has been performing Middle Eastern music for over seventeen years, and Roger Hudson, an accomplished composer, guitarist and oud player with five albums to his name (two releases with Pamplin Music, two with Tikal Records, and one with Acoustic America Records); many of Roger Hudson's compositions are published by Mel Bay Publications

Bella-Mūsīqā celebrates frequent performances in the greater Nashville and Middle Tennessee area, including guest appearances on Live in Studio C on Nashville Public Radio, annual concerts for the Tennessee Guitar Festival and the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society, and frequent performances at Middle Tennessee State University.
