For Non-degree Seeking Students who hold a current teaching license

Complete the required coursework [library courses and the 6 credits of field experiences (practica)]

Complete an application for the endorsement to your teaching license. This is the State Dept. of Education's domain, not MTSU's. Middle only certifies that you did complete the requirements; the state grants the endorsement. Do this after you have completed all coursework.

Submit a program of study with the application for the endorsement.  The Degree Plan link on this site can serve as your program of study if the program coordinator signs it (fax or mail it). The courses on your program of study depend upon your previous Master's degree and other coursework; the advisor will have told you if any prior coursework replaces MTSU coursework. You can complete the program of study and get it signed as soon as you are admitted to the university.

The State requires a passing Praxis II score (146) on the specialty test (10311). Make sure that you have Praxis scores sent to MTSU
