Nomination Procedures (click on this to print out the nomination form) Nomination packets will be distributed to school superintendents and school board chairs in each district in the state. Additionally, nomination packets will be provided to the state-level professional organization representatives on the Board of Governors for distribution as they deem appropriate. All completed nominations must be forwarded to the Hall of Fame office at MTSU by the date specified in the nomination materials each year. Selection Criteria Educators who have retired or are in their last year of service to public or private K-12 education are eligible for nomination to the Tennessee Teachers Hall of Fame. Nominations should be based on exemplary contributions which have made a significant difference to students and the profession, rather than on a single outstanding act ore event. Career-long contributions may take a variety of forms, including but not limited to excellence in teaching, community service, and service to the profession. Selection Procedures The Hall of Fame Board of Governors will appoint a statewide review committee to convene at a central location soon after the submission deadline. The committee will include K-12 and higher education personnel from all regions of the state and will select a specified number of finalists, as determined by the Board of Governors. After the finalists have been selected, the Board of Governors will convene to review the nominations and select the Hall of Fame inductees. Procedures for evaluating finalists will include a thorough review of all nomination materials and may include interviews of both nominators and the finalists themselves. Inductees selected will be presented to the public at an annual Tennessee Teachers Hall of Fame induction ceremony/banquet. The date and location of the ceremony will be determined each year by the Board of Governors. Please fill out the following and submit
