The Tennessee Transit Training Center, sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Transportation, offers individualized and specific training programs. The center houses the Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP), the Urban Transit Assistance Program (UTAP), and the Tennessee Department of Transportation Statewide Transit Student Internship Program.

The Rural Transit Assistance Program provides programs on national and state levels that offer training and technical assistance services to rural transit professionals. The Urban Transit Assistance Program offers information and assistance to transit professionals on urban transportation issues at the state level.

Our offices are located in the Belle Aire building on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
